
We have been working on our first pass at getting the UI to work on handheld sized units. Really, the only problem is not having the width of the screen of a normal monitor... the handheld is roughly as tall as a real screen, but 1/2 the width.
To work around that right now, we are using a left / right concept. Basically, by touching the top of the screen or menu, you can move the view point to show the left side or right side. A demo can be seen here:

Down the road we will likely enhance Order Entry to work more "natively" with the screen size on the handheld, and prevent some buttons from appearing on the check screen which might be a little confusing to some servers. The good news is that our current implementation gives us a quick path to market with minimal training or changes required to end users system.
On a related note, testing of 2.9 is showing it to be very stable with just a few minor issues being reported. It is really exciting to see everything coming together!
