Everything that 2.8 does, 2.9 does... Except for a few pieces that are being incorporated into the software directly instead of separate applications. These include:
Actually these may work if you use the 2.8 Fusion application, but we have not tested it nor will support it if there are problems. We will be incorporating support for these features in 2.9.50. That version will also do away with separate Replicator and Order Server applications.
Orderman support is gone for good and all existing licenses have been transferred to Windows CE licenses. We have the CE code fully working now except for QSR support and the previosly mentioned things which cannot be supported. We will get some preliminary documentation together for those that want the fun of being an early adoptee and we definitely want feedback on the product. There are tons of enhancements we can make over time and as sales warrant.

I have a question regarding getting rid of the Orderserver app. We have a few locations that the site is setup with a dedicated server. The Server does not run Terminal but does run orderserver to run thier serial printers from the server since that is how they were wired. Will there still be a way to maintain these large store operations With Dedicated servers without purchasing a terminal license for the Dedicated server
ReplyDeleteYes, You will setup Terminal to run on the server with the Terminal ID 1 higher than purchased. The software will load up, start the printers, and then the GUI will lock up on a "too many terminals" message.
ReplyDeleteWhen I start terminal 02 the DOS Window flickers and the terminal app does not load. What could that be caused by?
