Cashier Check Access By Guest

With the 2.8 release of the onePOS software, charier stations will now be able to access partial checks through scanning of the bar code at the bottom of the check.

When a server prints a guest check by guest, or by groups of guest (for example: guests 1 and 2, then guests 3, 4, 5, finally guests 6, 7, 8) the cashier can take payment for just those guests on the check (for example, if guests 1 and 2 wanted to leave early). It also simplifies the close check procedure at the cashier station when a single check is being closed out by guest or group of guests. This feature also allows for the combination of guests at the cashier station... so if a server printed out separate checks for the entire table, the cashier could scan multiple receipts to close out those guests all together.

There is no "undo" to scanning, so if a check / guest is scanned, the cashier will take ownership of that check / guest. They can use the standard transfer features or split payment features when that happens.

A new INI option called BumpGuestNumberonTransfer has also been added which does NOT change the guest number when transferring guests to another check. This keeps guest 1 guest 1. The downside to this is that if 2 checks are merged together, and both checks have a guest 1, the items will be combined on the same guest on the final check.

onePOS Point-of-Sale, even better for cashiering
