onePOS version 2.8 enables better reporting for Quick Service Restaurants by introducing Ticket Types.
While the standard concept of Dining Areas for tracking sales works well in Casual and Full Service, in Quick Service the cashier would have to page to the correct dining area when starting the check to properly track "dine in", "togo", and "delivery".
With version 2.8, each Dining Area can be marked to ask for a Ticket Type when a check is started, even a quick sale. When the cashier selects the Ticket Type, the ticket will then be tracked to that type. There is limited reporting available currently on sales by Ticket Type.
For additional reporting, or to use advanced features such as auto fees, you can have a Ticket Type reassign the ticket to a given Dining Area. How this would work is:
Carrie Cashier touches Quick Sale, and then presses "Dine In". The system changes that ticket's Dining Area and Revenue Center to "Main Dining" and "Dining" respectively. No delivery charges are added to the check. If the check is to be left open and paid later, using the Park function allows the cashier to place the ticket on a table in the "Main Dining" Dining Area.
Chuck Cashier touches Quick Sale, and then presses "Take Away". The system changes that ticket's Dining Area and Revenue Center to "Take Away" and "Take Away" respectively. A take away charge of $1.00 is added to the check.
Chris Cashier touches Quick Sale, and then presses "Delivery". The system changes that ticket's Dining Area and Revenue Center to "Delivery" and "Delivery" respectively. A delivery charge of $2.50 is added to the check.
