Using the callerid.com ethernet basic plus or ethernet deluxe plus units, an order taker at any configured POS terminal can press "line 1" through "line 4" on the customer search screen to instantly populate the phone number and perform a search through the database. The controller unit plugs into the POS network's switch through the controller's ethernet port and also into phone lines 1-4 to monitor incoming call callerid data. Once the callerid data is picked up off one of the phone lines, the data is broadcast over the POS network. The Fusion application on each terminal, if properly configured, will listen to this broadcast and push the callerid data to the POS terminal.
